Weddings

Make your wedding day extra special with your piper greeting the guests, piping you into the wedding venue and down the aisle, during photos or into your wedding breakfast.

Parties

For birthdays, Anniversaries or just a celebration. Make your special day unforgettable with a visit from your Highland bagpiper, or, book me as a surprise piper for a relative or friend.

Funerals

The haunting melancholy of the pipes lend a dignity to the solemn occasion which cannot be captured in any other way.

Burns Nights

I can help you organise this traditional event, greeting the guests and piping in the Haggis.  I can also recite the ‘Address to the Haggis’ and the Selkirk Grace.

Paul leads the bridal procession to the ceremony, playing ‘Highland Cathedral’

Based in South Devon, Paul regularly plays throughout Devon, Cornwall, Somerset and Dorset.  Travel is not a problem or an expensive extra and his rates are reasonable.  He is usually available at short notices.  He understands about time slippage and is flexible.

Feedback

Paul will help you with tune selection, positioning and timing, if needed, to help the occasion along. He will wear No: 1 Dress, or, No: 2 Dress (above), whichever is appropriate – you may decide.

Dear Paul...

…after a truly memorable wedding celebration for Jessica and Rick.

I just wanted you to know how much we appreciated every level of your professionalism… your sense of timing, ability to guide a clueless group of Americans on an enchanting walk to and from the chapel that no one will ever forget, your perfect choice of tunes, and your impeccable style! “Thank you” can never cover the scope of our gratitude for all you did to contribute to the magic of the day.

Best always, Jina and Chris

AN UNEXPECTED RE-UNION AT OUR BURNS NIGHT AT PAIGNTONS T.J'S RESTAURANT. A Turkish gent came to the celebration on Saturday for a completely random night out on a trip to Torbay, from Sussex. Getting into conversation with the taxi driver, on the way to the restaurant, he discovered the driver was his best friend from Turkey - they hadn't met for over 30 years and had lost touch. A very emotional time followed. You never know what may happen at one of my piping jobs.?!!😁 ...

Paul also plays the Highland and Border bagpipes, melodeon, flute, whistle and bodhran with the upbeat barn dance and Ceilidh band Piping Hot. Playing lively Scottish, Celtic and Irish jigs and reels or rhythmic English dance tunes in either traditional or contemporary style – what a way to end the day’s celebrations!!
